I took the opportunity to attend a seminar today on CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) which proved to be extremely interesting.

The technique is simplicity itself and can be used in isolation or linked with EFT (emotional freedom technique) and hypnotherapy treatments, so offering additional support for clients.

I was particularly impressed because the technique enables the client through conversations with their therapist to describe their problems and to a large extent with therapist support to identify the root cause.  This in no way diminishes the client therapist relationship but offers the client a greater input.  This is a great tool for the therapists 'tool bag' and one definitely to be used.
